This past Saturday would have marked the end of our Summer 2020 season. We would have said goodbye to our campers and staff. We would have packed our bags and packed up and put away camp. We would have reflected back on the summer. We are thankful for the support we have received throughout this challenging time and are excited to be preparing and planning for the Summer of 2021.

Summer 2021 Special Pre-Enrollment Pre-Enrollment for Summer 2021 will begin on June 1st, 2020. All returning families will be able to apply on Monday, June 1st beginning at 9:00 am PST during our June Special Pre-Enrollment period. Due to COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our summer camp sessions for 2020. We are grateful for the outpouring of support from our campers, families and staff as we worked and hoped for a different outcome. 2020 marks our 95th season; NINETY-FIVE years of providing children a safe and special place to be kids and to belong to a community that sings, laughs and plays TOGETHER. We are often asked, "what is camp like in the winter?" At our 5,000 foot elevation it really varies winter to winter. Some winters we receive very little snow and our lake may have a thin layer of ice. Other winters we receive as much as 10-15 feet of snow and our lake is frozen thick with several feet of ice. The 2019 Walton's Grizzly Lodge Summer Camp Yearbook is arriving by mail this week for last summers campers. Group photos, activity shots and camp candids can be found throughout the yearbook and will bring back fond memories from the summer of 2019. Walton's campers began receiving a camp yearbook after the summer of 1969. The book was originally 32 pages, expanded to 40 pages in the 1990's and now features 48 pages of photos.
