In addition, a $85 Camp Store deposit will be added to your account for the possible purchase of a camp a t-shirt, sweatshirt, hat or other items and any incidentals. The Camp Store balance will be refunded or charged at the end of the session.

We do our best to keep the session status up to date. Session availability may change before your application is confirmed.

When your online application is received, the following fees will be charged:

For enrollment in an open session:  $1,000 deposit per camper, per session + $100 non-refundable registration fee per camper

For placement on the waiting list:  $500 deposit per camper (The waiting list deposit is refundable if the camper does not enroll. Parents may decline a spot that is offered or withdraw from the waiting list without penalty.)

Campers may not be enrolled and on a waiting list at the same time without incurring cancellation fees. If you choose to cancel an enrolled session to move to an opening from a waiting list session, the cancellation fee will be applied.

Waiting List Process:  If an opening becomes available, a call will be placed to the mobile phone number of the first parent listed on the camper application. If we do not receive a response within 48 hours, we will move on to the next person on the waiting list, withdraw the application and refund the waiting list deposit.

When a camper moves from the waiting list to enrollment, $600 will be charged which includes the remaining $500 deposit, along with the $100 non-refundable registration fee. If an opening from a waiting list is filled after our payment in full date, the full tuition amount will be charged upon enrollment.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION FEE SCHEDULE
     After October 1 = $250 fee
     After December 1 = $500 fee
     After February 1 = $1,000 fee
Payment in full is due April 1st
April 1 = No refund of deposit or tuition

PLEASE NOTE: The fee schedule dates are not flexible and exceptions will not be made for any reason.

The $100 registration fee is in addition to the $1,000 deposit. The $100 registration fee is non-refundable, is not applied to the tuition and is not part of the cancellation fee schedule outlined above.

All fees are per cancelled session. There is no refund of camp fees for any reason including dismissal, behavior issues, homesickness, illness or injury.

Please submit your cancellation in writing (email). Your cancellation is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email.

CLOSURE POLICY:  In the event camp is unable to open, must temporarily suspend operations for some portion of a session or must begin late or close early due to circumstances beyond Camp’s control, including but not limited to weather, floods, threat of wildfire or unhealthful levels of smoke, pandemic, utility failures, inaccessibility, civil unrest, governmental order or other such reason, Camp shall not be responsible for any costs, losses, or other damages beyond a pro-rata refund of tuition for days lost, less the deposit which is non-refundable and any non-recoverable expenses and administrative costs spent in performance of this agreement.

For purposes of this refund policy, being “forced” to close includes a mandatory order or advisory order to evacuate by a public entity including but not limited to a fire department,  health department or law enforcement, but also includes the Camp’s determination exercising its own independent judgment that an unreasonable health or safety risk exists due to an event beyond its control.

You should consider the possibility that the Camp’s opinion as to the potential health/safety risk from a hazard may differ from your own; the Camp may be of the opinion that it can continue to operate safely, and you disagree. If you want your child to return home under such circumstances, there will be no refund.

INSURANCE :  Camp is not able to obtain adequate insurance coverage for these risks. Therefore, we recommend parents consider camp tuition insurance.

TripMate Program Protector Insurance is available during the online application process. If you choose to purchase Program Protector insurance and are placed on a waiting list, the insurance will be “pending enrollment.” Upon acceptance, TripMate (aka MHRoss, TripAssure) will charge the insurance fee and email you a confirmation. Walton’s Grizzly Lodge receives no incentive or compensation from TripMate. We provide this option as a convenience for our camp families. If you have questions about Program Protector, please call TripMate (MH Ross, TripAssure) directly (833-297-2258). Parents may choose not to insure their camper’s program or may choose to purchase insurance from any company.
