Walton’s Grizzly Lodge counselors are college-age students who are hired for their enthusiasm and dedication to making your child’s summer camp experience the best that it can be. Our mature, well trained counseling staff plays an important role in providing excellent care to our campers. Our counselors participate in a 10 day Staff Orientation and Training at the beginning of the summer. Counselors are trained in program areas and activity leading, learn our emergency procedures and understand health and safety precautions and procedures. Counselors remind and/or help campers with personal hygiene, including use of sunscreen, bug spray, keeping hydrated, changing clothes daily, brushing teeth, and showering.
