Pre-Enrollment for Summer 2021 will begin on June 1st, 2020.
All returning families will be able to apply on Monday, June 1st beginning at 9:00 am PST during our June Special Pre-Enrollment period.
Priority will be given in the following order:
1. 2020 Enrolled Families: Was your child enrolled when we canceled our summer sessions? If so, apply between June 1st and June 15th to be guaranteed enrollment in the same session for 2021.
2. 2020 Waiting List Families: Was your child on the waiting list when we cancelled our summer sessions? If so, you can apply on June 1st and you will have priority after we place our 2020 enrolled campers.
3. All Other Returning Families: You can apply on June 1st and we will process applications in the order received (after placing 2020 Enrolled and Waiting List Families). This includes 2020 campers wishing to switch sessions.
Q: If we were enrolled for 2020 and cancelled before you cancelled the season, when can we apply?
A: You may apply on June 1st and we will process applications in the order received after placing our 2020 Enrolled Campers and 2020 Waiting List Campers.
Q: Who is considered a Walton’s Grizzly Lodge Returning Family?
A: All families in our online system have an account and are considered returning.
Q: Can I switch my child into a different session for 2021?
A: Yes, as long as there is still room in the session. Apply on June 1st. We will enroll applicants in the order received after placing campers as specified above.
Q: Can my camper’s siblings apply for camp on June 1st?
A: Yes, siblings are considered part of returning families and may apply on June 1st. We will enroll siblings in the order received after placing campers as specified above.
Q: We have friends who would like to go to camp next summer, when can they apply?
A: We will open enrollment to new families on July 1st.
Q: If 2020 was my child’s last summer as a camper in the regular program, will they be able to return in 2021?
A: Yes, we will extend our age limit to allow them to attend as a camper in 2021 in our Regular Program. They will be eligible for the CILT Program the following year.
Q: What happens if my child was enrolled as a Camper In Leadership Training (CILT) or in the Outdoor Adventure Program (OAP) in 2020?
A: 2020 First Year CILTs may apply on June 1st to be 2021 First Year CILTs for their same session, and 2020 Second Year CILTs may apply on June 1st to be Second Year CILTs in 2021 for their same session. All campers accepted in the 2020 Outdoor Adventure Program will have priority to enroll in the 2021 OAP.
Q: Can I switch my CILT into a different session for 2021?
A: Due to limited openings in the CILT program, we will only place 2020 Enrolled CILTs in the same session for 2020. If your child has a different session preference, we recommend you apply for the same session to secure a spot. You may email us your preference and we will consider any changes based on availability beginning July 1st.
Q: Can I enroll my child in multiple sessions?
A: On June 1st you will be able to apply for one session. You can apply for additional sessions beginning August 1st, 2020.
Q: How do I apply for Summer 2021?
A: Log in to your account from our website and go to “Camper Application.” Choose 2021 from the season drop down menu and complete the application. The deposit for camp is $500 per camper, per session. Credits on account cannot be used for the deposit and will be applied to your final balance.
Q: When can I expect to receive my 2021 Enrollment Confirmation?
A: If you apply by June 15th, you will receive your Enrollment Confirmation (or Waiting List Confirmation) by June 30th.
Q: What are the Summer 2021 Rates?
A: Our Dates and Rates for Summer 2021 reflect a modest increase to account for increased costs. Two week sessions are $4,025 and one week sessions are $2,050.
Q: Are there discounts being offered for Summer 2021?
A: Our 2021 Discounts are listed below:
2020 Enrolled Camper Discount (campers who were enrolled when we cancelled our summer sessions) = $200 discount for two week sessions for applications received by June 15th.
CILTs = 10% discount (not combined with any other discount).
Siblings = 10% for three or more siblings enrolled (not combined with any other discount).
Payment in Full = $100 discount per session.
Q: What is your cancellation policy for Summer 2021?
A: Our 2021 cancellation policy can be found on our web site and includes the following dates:
Cancellations before October 1st = $100 Processing Fee
Cancellations October 1st - January 1st = $250 Cancellation Fee
Cancellations January 1st - March 1st = $500 Cancellation Fee (No refund of deposit) Payment in full = April 15th.
Q: Should I purchase insurance to cover my camp tuition?
A: Expenses are incurred year-round to prepare for our summer season. For this reason we adhere to our cancellation policy and recommend parents insure their summer camp tuition. When you apply online, you will have the option to purchase Program Protector Insurance from TripMate. For 2021, TripMate is offering their Standard Plan which does NOT include a Cancel for Any Reason benefit. Please note: We are not affiliated with TripMate.
