I Heart Camp Day

February 1st is National I Heart Camp day where people across the country share their love for summer camp. The list of reasons we love camp is a long one! Here are a few from our Director Team. 

Julie: I love camp because I get to do my favorite things (teach, work with kids, help parents) in my favorite place (the mountains) with my favorite people! Summer is the best part of each year.

Adam: I love our camp culture, the opportunity for adventure, everyone’s focus on major fun, and, of course, the people!

Erica: I love so many things about camp! It is the place where I met my husband and many of my oldest, dearest friends. It is where my kids have grown up, surrounded by amazing young adults and campers from all over the world. I am grateful for camp every day!

Jared: I love camp because it teaches kids a wide range of lifelong skills, all while having fun!

Paul: I love camp because I love working outside in such an amazing place with some of the best people around! Watching my son, Quincy, enjoy camp is also pretty magical.

Ella: I love camp because so many silly things happen every day.

Mara: I love camp because it provides a safe environment for kids to learn, grow, and explore who they are. Many of my formative experiences took place at camp and now I get to watch new generations of campers have the same life-changing experiences.

Brandon: I love camp because I love getting to spend every day outside with such cool people. 

Georgia: I love camp because sometimes I find stray kitties and tame them and find them a special home with other people who love camp and kitties as much as I do.
