I ❤️ Camp Day

WGL campers, parents, and staff know the reasons to love camp are endless! Each year on February 1st, we celebrate National I ❤️ Camp Day and share some of the many reasons camp is so special to our community. This year, we asked several of our counselors and staff members to share why they love camp so much.

Maddy – I love camp because I get to spend the summer smelling pine trees and watching kids’ creativity blossom!

Owen – I love camp because it is a place where I can thrive by being myself!

James – I love camp because I get to be around amazing coworkers and kids in an environment that promotes being your genuine and independent self, helping me learn something new every day.

Natalie – I love camp because it’s a place where we look up at the stars, unplug, and everyone gets to be their authentic, goofy selves every day!

Ryan – I love camp because I always feel at home and I get to spend every day working outdoors doing so many awesome things.

Julie – I love camp because of the amazing people. It’s a place where lifelong friends are made.
