Hemp and Archaeology
After walking around the lake, campers pass by Frog Rock and then travel up a small hill where they find Peg Leg’s Cabin. Constructed by Walton’s campers in the 1950’s, the cabin was one of the first structures we built on our new site when we moved camp from Lagunitas in 1943. Near Peg Leg’s Cabin campers can do bead work, make bracelets using hemp twine, go on an archeological dig or visit our slingshot range.
During our two week sessions, our younger campers hike around the lake and spend an evening sleeping under the stars here.
